面白おかしくも
僕の「自転車100kmサバイバル」について
書き殴っていきます！
まあ、だって実際こんなに辛かったんですよ
って書いても、きっと面白くもなんともないと思うんで(笑)
決行日当日の8/4は
前にも述べたようにとにかく
緊張していた。試合前の選手のような
気分ってきっとこんな感じなのかな。
とにかく天気が時間が経つに連れて悪化していった。
何度も朝家を出ておけば良かったと思っただろう。
夜に家を出るのにはいくつか理由があった。
それは、家族が家を出る24時間前に家を出たらどうなるかということ。
もちろん、おそろしく早く目的地についてしまって
カルタ遊びなんかじゃいい加減に暇をきっと潰せなくなるだろうという事で!!
このときの推定時間は8～10時間。
これはいろいろ調べた結果。
このときの僕は今よりも数倍若かった(笑)
僕はサイクリングコースを走るわけじゃないので
そのサイクリングコースを走ったおっちゃん達の時間は全く当てにならないことに気づかなかった。
信号があればもちろん止まらなければいけなかった。
夜6時半。一度外を見てみると雨が降っている。
雨なんかじゃ僕の事を止めることができないけれど
とりあえずスタートだけはこだわることにした。
そうして雨が止んだ午後7時半。僕はゆっくりと車輪を走り始めた。
今度は雷がゴロゴロ鳴っていた(汗)雷が危険なのはわかったけれど
天気予報で千葉県内で本当に雲がかかっているのは一部だと
気づき、早めに家を出て、危ないゾーンを抜けることにした。
その辺僕は馬鹿じゃなかった。(って言うと余計馬鹿に見えるけれども(笑))
慈雨の雨が走行開始20分で降り始めた。
何も焦らないでいいのに･･･安っぽいあまがっぱの出番が来た。
準備万端やなと自分の周到さにツッコミを入れたくなった。
走り始めてから約45分後。
ようやく国道に出る。この国道を沿って長い間走るのがプランだった。
勢いよく国道に乗り、勢い良く青信号の歩道を渡ると
前のかごから勢い良く、タライが道路の真ん中に飛び出した。
慌てて僕は、道路のタライを拾いに戻った。
タライも僕も無事だった。
なぜタライかって??そんな風に思った人は
まだ自分がサイクリング初心者だということを自覚してもらいたい。
タライ。それはタイヤに空いた穴を発見するために用意した。
そういつもの自転車屋さんがやるように!
とにかく、そのタライを拾って国道沿いを
走り続けた。僕のギアなしの自転車は僕にちっとも
協力的ではなく、緩やかな坂の連続が僕を苦しめた。
2時間が経過した頃には
30kmの距離を走り終えていた。
このまま順調に走り終えられると思っていた
僕はやっぱり甘かった。
その後も国道の横を走り続けているうちに
道路にある傾向があることに気づいた。
それは、どんなタイミングでどんなトラップが飛び出してくるかという
ことだった。変なところが段差になっていて
本当に危うく踏むところだった。
小さなことに囚われると
それが命取りになった。これは冗談じゃなしに(苦笑)
真っ暗な部分でヤブが足に絡んできて
食べたくもない草が僕の口に入ってきそうになった･･･
そこまで大自然に今回は溶け込む気はなかったのだけど(笑)
出発から約4時間後。
雨は晴れてきた。僕の予想は的中し
いいタイミングでいいところに出た。
そこは都会。コンビニにちょっとした食べ物を買いに入る。
そこへ並んでいるとなぜかおばあさんに抜かされる。
あれっ待っていたんだけれど･･･
とにかく待ち、自分が食べ物を買うときに
道を確認しようとすると。
ごめんなさい。ごめんなさい。
若い店員達はこの辺の地元について全く知らない。
そこへ例のおばあさんが出てきて
この街道はコッチよ。
と教えてくれた。
そのお婆さんはしっかりと
借りをその場で返してくれた(笑)
いやっ真剣にここは道を教えてくれた。
確かに危うく変な方向に行くところでしたが
なんとか正しい道へ軌道修正。
本当にあのおばあちゃんには今も感謝している。
そして、分岐点に差し掛かった。
ここからが山道コースの始まり始まり。

PS.とにかく今は窓にぶつかって来ているセミを寝かしつけたいと思います。

I’m going to write about “The 100 km survival cycling” as I like! I will make the story as funny as possible because it’s nothing to talk only about how hard it was!
In August 4 , the day I was planning to leave home, I got excited and nervous. It was like an athlete’s feeling before matches start, I think.
The weather was getting worse little by little. I regretted that I didn’t leave in the morning but I had some reasons that I left at the night time.
If I leave my house 24 hours before my family leaves, what’s gonna happen??
Maybe I will arrive at the destination too early and I won’t be able to kill my time by doing card games.. I expected that it will take 8 to 10 hours to get there. I researched that. But my idea was still green.. In my case, I won’t ride my bicycle on the cycling rode, so it takes longer to et the destination! I had to stop in front of red signals.
At 6:30pm, I looked outside and it started raining .. The rain can’t stop me! But at the starting I was waiting that the rain stops.
It stopped raining at 7:30pm. I started moving the tires of my bicycle slowly..
Rolls of thunder were heard in the distance… But I checked the weather news and I got that the clouds were not covering the whole prefecture! So I decided to leave earlier and I was trying to get out from the dangerous areas! I wasn’t just a stupid( maybe..)
It stared raining again after 20 minutes I left my house. OK it was time to use my cheap rain coat! I had bought it at the early time in the same day.
After 2 hours, I finished running 30km(18.75miles ).
I thought I could keep this pace and finish this challenge in 8 hours.
My idea was still immature..
I was riding on side walks of the national highway.
I noticed that the road has some tendencies. I got to know how traps come out in front of me suddenly. I almost stepped on some bumps..
If I was careless about the whole sight, it might have killed me seriously.
When it came a dark spot, some thickets was hitting my legs, and others tried to come inside my mouse.. It was like a little jungle. I didn’t want to deal with nature that way though..
After 4 hours since I left, it stopped raining!
My expectation was correct! It was in a town at the time.
I went to a convenience store to get some foods.
When I was standing in a line , a old lady cut in front of me.
I thought “OK whatever..” and I was waiting in a line.
I asked some stuff to make sure if I was going the correct way but they said
“sorry, sorry”
The young stuffs didn’t know about the direction..
Then the lady came in front of me again , and you told me the direction!
I thought she was paying me off or something! She was correct.
If I didn’t ask about the direction, I got lost this time for sure.
I appreciate her even now.
Finally I got to the important crossroads.
Because from here, I had to get over some mountains!
